The Original Gangster 5 piece travel rod from Jabbers – our first model that paved the way for all other models.

The Jabbers Wanderlust casting is a 5+1 piece travel rod utilizing a proprietary formulation of combining different Toray Carbon cloth in a multi axis configuration for the best strength to sensitivity ratio. It is built to handle a wide range of lures of different weights (as light as ¼ oz) and every joint of this travel stick is individually tested and fitted to provide the feel of a single piece rod. This unique 5-piece rod closes down to just 46 cm and will fit in any small luggage that can be hand carried onto the aircraft.

To facilitate the use of vertical and slow jigs, a moderate taper and a special extended Jiggerlust butt has been designed for this rod. This moderate action tip helps to cushion jumping barras and prevent fish from throwing the hooks. The extension jigging butt is made available with a butt protector for ease of storage as the rod is expected to serve for a long period of time.

Comfort and reliability are the key factors when deciding the grips for the rod, hence only high-density EVA and superior quality cork handles were chosen.

Packed in a high density neoprene bag where each section is separately stored and further encapsulated in a clear PVC pipe case with EVA end caps embossed with the Jabbers logo.
