The Jabbers Scamper Jump Frog was born from a simple idea — if you’re trying to wake up a giant serpent lurking beneath a mat of lilies, subtlety is overrated. At 9cm and 33g, the Scamper is a heavyweight surface bruiser built to stomp across the water like a panicked frog that has just realized it made a very bad life decision.

Each twitch sends the Scamper hopping, waddling and throwing a noisy surface wake that can be tracked from several metres away. Its internal rattle adds another layer of commotion, ringing the dinner bell for territorial snakeheads, toman and other ambush predators. The result is a lure that doesn’t sneak into the strike zone — it kicks the door down.

Handcrafted from tropical hardwood and armed with serpent-ready hardware, the Scamper is designed to survive where lesser frogs come apart. Cast it into lily fields, flooded timber, swamp edges and shallow weedbeds. Work it slowly. Let it pause. Then be prepared, because when a big serpent commits, it rarely asks politely.

Originally developed for the notorious Black Mamba snakeheads of Borneo, the Scamper has since earned a reputation for provoking some of the most savage topwater strikes imaginable.
